- The Philippine Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (PSDBP) conducts training in Developmental Surveillance and Screening for Pediatric Residents every year. This was approved as a training competency for all pediatric residents-in-training by the Philippine Pediatric Society Hospital Accreditation Board (PPS-HAB).
- There are two parts to this training module –
- Part I consists of an asynchronous lecture and video demonstration of developmental surveillance, which can be accessed by the trainees through the PPS CPD Portal for Trainees or through Google Classroom.
- Part II is a synchronous workshop via Zoom on the administration, scoring, and interpretation of the following developmental screening tools: Parents’ Evaluation of Developmental Status (PEDS), Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers, Revised (MCHAT-R), and Pediatric Symptom Checklist (PSC). This training is also offered to consultants and other health professionals involved in the care of children.
